i just cut the block up and distributed it across my ohf tray. every part of it seems to be covered with water leh.

it might of cause be less efficient because some water are missed (say only 80 to 90% of the water touched the media), but with OHF high turnover rate of tank water..... which is easily above 10x per hour.... 0.2^10 means easily every hour about 0.00000001% ( use 0.15^10) does not get filtered thru.
this this small percentage is insignificant bah
