please allow me to help with my limited knowledge.
For ray tank what I have read is min 0.4 ~ 1".
but i think most that I have read is 0.5" think.
get very fine sand and not silicane (forgot hoe to spell). If can get riverbead sand den its good.
sand must nt be shrap edge type coz it will hurt the unbelly of the ray.
filteration must be oversize coz ray product alot of waste.. normally ppl use sump system. But i m nt
