Power trip, greatest nightmare for fish keeper. Backup a must.
For me I replaced all normal air pump with AC/DC, some heavy stocked tank even have two. Nowadays AC/DC comes with the same size and footprint as the normal pump, though slightly pricy. Do consider that as the value of the fish stock worth much more than the pump.
