Try to see what grants you can tap upon as much as possible.
My grandparents are living by themselves in a 3 room flat.. uncle livin with them has a flat elsewhere he rents out and park his address under.
As zero income... there's much more grants available.
You might also want to consider hiring an extra pair of hands to look aft coz aft dialysis, they get very very very tired and weak one.
there's lower levy for families with senior citizens too.
