I also second this. I used "pp bomb" on my new tank then (kiasu) to clean up the tank. Drained 50% and added prime to clear the residues. Added fishes immediately, some swordtails to kick start the tank cycle.

I think there's one article mentioning using colour as a gauge. From what i remember (better to double check), the colour of the water should be a light pink. Once this pink has turned to brown, the pp has oxidized and you can then drain out all the water and rinse it out.
