Bro, i noticed those nice plants with the red/white leaves are actually common as indoor potted plants. I don't think they were meant to be submerged in water.
How do i know: I have them as my potted. And we had an experience when we over watered them and they died. It's meant to be kept on moist soil without direct sunlight.
Nevertheless, in time to come i think you'll have a beautiful planted tank - through trial and error :P
Suggestion: May wanna consider planting moss wall to complete the look? Any ferts used currently?
