Mod, any chance to sticky this info too?

"We are concerned with 2 things in tap water. Chlorine and chloramine. As we know, chlorine can be removed by aging and aeration or adding anti-chlorine which removes it instantly.

We need to be aware and understand that anti-chlorine products vary differently. It is noticeable that the technology improves over time with point 3. being the latest technology.

1. Some only remove chlorine.

2. Some remove both clorine and chloramine only. For chlorine removal, there is no byproducts but as chloramine is chemically stable, unbreaking the bonds would release ammonia. An example of this product is Fritz Guard. This must be used with Fritz Ammonia Remover to neutralize toxic ammonia prior to the introduction of aquatic life. Therefore, 2 products are now required to keep the water safe.

3. There are few 3-in-1s. A few products can remove both chlorine and chloramine and detoxify the ammonia. Seachem Prime is an example."
