Mahseer is English adapted from a Hindu name for big head fish. Kelah i believe is a Malay name for Mahseer. The word "Kelah" widely used in our LFS for the Blue species though i beg to differ as Mahseer is used originally in India. So in my opnion, the sp. Tor from Indian is worthy to be called Mahseer.
In my own research time, i found Mahseer to be specifically directing to the species found in India waters (Himalayan). Those are where these fish got famous first - with anglers before we caught up.
