Ammonia can be produce by decayed fish food. Don waste money to buy la. Just be patience. If you are planted tank, get some ada ammozonia soil.
Ceramic ring seldom need to replace unless they breakdown. Never heard of any kakis changing except upgrading/change from brand a to b.
