I copied someone design on the web and did some minor amendment.
Where should I put the biomedia as well as the oyster shell ?
For a 5 chamber filter like this how do I size each chamber ? All chamber equal size (20%) or chamber 1 - 20%, chamber 2 - 25%, Chamber 3 - 25%, Chamber 4 - 15%, chamber 5 - 15%
Equipments :
1 x Hiblow 40
1 x tsurumi OM3 (rated 2610 gph - main pond)
1 x ECOSUB 400 (rated 1440 gph - waterfall)
1 x surface skimmer (new, any recommendation ?)
2 x aerated bottom drain (new, any recommendation ?)
1 x UV light (40W ? Do I do inline or submersible in my last chamber 5 ?)
The volume of the pond will be around 1100 gal, with my combine flow of 2 pump can I safely said that my flow rate is not a problem ? How do I size all the piping from BD to chamber 1, drain pipe, TPR pipe ? I understand pipe size will affect flow rate but how to calculate ?
