hi sglet...i also agree with you and personally think that PLJ is not really a defect to me. I would say that PLJ is just an indication that that aro is most probably a male. That explains why aros with PLJ usually got some superb colouration and why judges in japan are actually giving points for PLJ. I learnt from the farm owners that the PLJ would automatically slide in to balance out with the upper jaw during brooding with the eggs inside the jaws.(I think you should also know about this long time ago right )
Anyway it was entertaining and knowledgable going to XL farm with you. Hope you organise this trip for more newbies in future.
