Anway how big is your tank? HOF is good when you are using a small tank ( it is great for nano low tech reef tank) As for CO2 escaping the water column due to water surface aggitation by HOF, it is better to go for internal or external if you do not have CO2 injection, else it should be fine. My 1 feet low tech tank has an internal eden 104 filter, which works great with only bio media and no filter wool.[/QUOTE]

The filter does seems to be powerful.
