boss, like to ask a bit more on AJC course

question 1) Practical tests, will be conducted by participating arowana farms after this Course (to be scheduled).

Estimated how many farms visit this time round? (2010 - 2011 /2012)
1(GML) + ? = ...

question 2) Participants must fulfill a minimum attendance of 80% during AJC Practical tests and pass the various tests involved before being certified as proficient in understanding and judging arowanas.

So it mean either theory or practical test for every farm visit?
Again how many stages and is the certified like?

the theory will be 1 day (Same day as the Theory – Arowana Appreciation). After the theory, the practical most likely will be like 2 farms per weekend which we are trying to tie down with the farms
Hope the above info are useful to you on your decision.

Cheers

so likely to complete in ard 6 months for practical test...

i quite concern abt the schedule of farm visits - specially mention of "Participants must fulfill a minimum attendance of 80%"
my worry is due to work or appointment commitment..

if i go for AAC, can i join later maybe next round of AJC (understand depend on number of members participation)

Hi bro,

It is very unlikely that we will have another intake for this course in the near future as it takes a lot to coordinate with the breeders and for them to commit to put their fish out for our practical tests as they also have their own business to run.

Hi, there is no pre-requisite for this course. You may be an old hand in aro keeping, but could possibly have different school of thoughts which may differ from AFC's/Breeders' standards. Most importantly, you must be interested and willing to learn. The practical tests will be conducted by the breeders based on AFC's standards which are endorsed by them.
