brothers, be careful not to rinse the entire device under tap water. mine leaked and was damaged never recover. hope that mine is an unique case

i bought it for $48 . very useful, i can go around and test test water in different places

I read the instructions of the Hanna box, it says it cannot be used to store the test pen because it is non-ionized (how does it affect actually, these ions?), no mention about calibration can use or not.. better dun take this kind of risk...
These ions if present will actually affect the accuracy of the readings. Guess you gotta get those buffers instead, no choice.

The thing is, distilled water supposedly cannot be used for calibration or storage. Must specially go buy pH7.0 special solution to do so...

I made that stupid mistake on day 1.. run the ENTIRE device under running tap water.

Heng i realized after a few seconds that the device isn't waterproof (juz suddenly hit me!), and quickly remove the battery compartment on top and use hairdryer blow it dry... *sweat*

Small pack i got it for $3, bigger bottle (about the size of a brylcream container) $5... from petmart.

Y618 sells it for $2, but no stock da...
