One important thing to note is that organic yeast production of CO2 follows a curve distributed output, rather than a straight linear output for electronic CO2. As many of you know, unstable and varying levels of CO2 is a problem as algae can come in.
Plants adapt to the CO2 levels but do it slowly (in terms of Rubisco production). And when the levels of CO2 rises and drops, plants may not be able to catch up and algae (especially BBA) comes in. I tried it when I started into the aquascaping hobby but it was a nightmare for me. |

Start mixture bottles running at alternate weeks ( 1 mixture on 1st week and another on 2nd week). This should be able to straighten the CO2 linear output but quite troublesome to maintain it.

in fact bro vlcw has mentioned about the running of alternate mixtures to maintain co2 output. It will be too late when there are no more bubbles coming out from the mixture. Another mixture should be prepared when you notice the frequency of bubbles are reduced after 2 - 3 weeks. One problematic issue will be the problem of PH swings in your tank when co2 output is not maintained.. causing stress to the fishes. cheers |

it does work but u need to give it time.. as there may be a bit oil on the surface of the plastic which bubbles will gather... as soon as it is off.. the bubbles will flow smoothly... it takes like 1.5days if u using the pack... as the bubbles are stable... as for DIY haven't try.. may go buy later to test it out as just brought the package for the filpper.... hehe...
one more thing ensure the thing is upright so the bubbles can follow the angle and bubble will move up wards |

and you need sometime to get the real effect hehe the bubbles will be stable whether you use DIY or the Pack, you need to season the thing first, hehe

thanks for the advice... will monitor to see.. anyway.. will the bubble disintergrate in the water? or will it just float to the end of the flipper and get purged? |
