Not drastically, we were discussing this at the talk by the distributor. Understand that it does raise gh but not a lot (the presentor is not very sure, it seems), it seems that the process results in a release of magnesium and calcium ions (correct me if I am wrong, as there were some gurus in the room too).
It's my second day with the bioearth in place and no significant changes in ph except the normal drop (common in an established tank). Water remains crystal clear.

so do you scarp off the leftover that is sumerge to the bottom ?

Nope, left it as it is. My bottom feeders are okay, they are fishes like plecos and catfish.
I've also fed the bioearth to my sw.
