Good to have a female. I understand that there are more males than females from a spawn.

Again, the pic are well taken. Swee!

Anyone got tips on how to make wild betta not frighten of people?
I have imbellis who are f1 and they are scared as hell just from seeing me in
the room. That makes them not show their full potential color

It is completely empty because If i put stuff in there all my imbellis ever do is hide so i removed everything so they have no place to hide. If i put anything in the tank it'll go hide under it.

It's better if you can add plants and cave for them..
That way they will feel more cosy.

I heard that Mac is not a shy wild so i'm not sure if it help, for my case I try to give them a little cover when 1st introduce, slowly after a few weeks I remove little by little till now they are in a complete empty tank and they do often swim out to do ask for food when I look at them.

Not sure if it work but hope this is useful for you^^!

Im intending to get either Albi or Channoides.. Cant afford a Mac for now due to the $ and bigger tank it requires.. So shall try out with the smaller species first.. Would love to have a first hand experience the mouthbrooding activity in these fishes..
Had experience with bubblenestlers previously with the splendens..
