Breeding Red Head Tapajos
Hi all,
My pair of RHT had breed for 4 times till date and so far the failure rate had been a 100%... Can I check with you what I need to look out for to ensure surviving babies? Thanks in advance! PS: The 3ft tanks only has 3 RHT and 4 small Swordtails. |

How far have the fries gone? Still wrigglers or free swimming already?

Most likely parents ate them. Too much disturbance to the tank? I dont think the swords made much of a difference.

IMO not much disturbance from them but I think as long as there are fishes in a breeding tank, most parents will be on their guard 24hrs whereas if there are none, I believe they will be less on guard and more relaxed. Sorry no experience in breeding RHT, but I'm assuming most parents should feel that way.
