Some sharing here regarding algae blooming in water. Selection of UV sterilizer is very important based on the amount of water volume you have. The amount of UV power emitted is another important factor in order to kill the algae. If the flow rate to the UV sterilizer is too fast, it would become ineffective as most of the algae will not be killed. Instead of turning your green water to crystal clear, it will get even greener and eventually darker.
Do look out at the optimal flow rate on the UV sterilizer that recommended by the manufacturer. If the UV sterilizer cannot handle the amount of water you have, you may need to get more to do the job. |

Nice Scorpio! I feed them once a day for now. Heard that it's good to feed twice a day in small amount each time....

Hi Scorpio,
thanks for your feeding tips! I cannot imagine feeding them more than 3 times a day. They arrived in my place last night, tried taking some pictures but not clear, will try again tomorrow. What about sharing some of yours as well? Would love to see them |
