For those with side IOUS and sump system, this would be perfect for the Overflow compt.

i only started using it yesterday. running for a day so far, so far so good. loving it actually. But do note that the 4 suction cups behind is not strong enough to hold the filter filled with media, best to let it rest on the tank floor. Quote:

i placed 1 wool each at the top of the filter, both left and right, just right below the pump. i guess i will take out the media to wash with tank water monthly, 10 mins job only compared to a canister filter. its either you put wool at the bottom (which u still have to dismantle frequently to wash/change wool or just pack it full with media den wash media frequently.. at the top where the pump is located, theres where i put my 100ml seachem purigen with a filter bag. fully packed. me no budget for biohome, if not should be able to fill 1.5-2kg of biohome.. |

nice review,bro.
but for the bigger model, 600l/hr pump seems like not strong enough to be used in a 120mm(4ft) tank. a pump rate of 900l/hr might be better, imho. if i were to buy that model, i would source for a bigger pump that will fit into the filter. |
