I m using a 5x1.5x1.5 sump with 80% bio-ring.

Check PH ard 6.0 which is abit low. Already added a bag of coral chip.
Ammonia ard 0.2

Also looking hard to clear my two Kel, which now already 10"..big eater...think that is one of the cause also.
Also want to clear 3pcs of TFB, which also 6"...they all create extra shit too.

I noticed, some pallet do foul the water (hazy, smokey or cloudy) I think the undissolved filler (fiber) cud be the reason, may be change to other brand gib better result?

maybe. Cos now one of the kel eat only sinking pellet. And a simi-blind oscar.

thats a big sump...shldnt b any issue w bbs cultivations on filtration set up, Maybe an upgrade to better medias available if u wanna have more livestocks....imo

U notice there's a thread mentioning about drum filter, the before and after use for it's Koi pond? Drum filter are element filtration system, that is the effect of pallets feeding.

try raising ur PH to 7.0 range will speed up the clearing of "haziness"

Perform WC. Suggest 40-50%. The pH of our tap water is in the range of 7.2-7.8

Funny...now water crystal clear liao..not doing anything!
Suspect maybe the CC take into effect...but I never measure the PH
