There is a shop in Blk 633 Veerasamy Road (S)200633 that cuts plastic divider. Shop name shd be Yeo Soon Hin Plastic Signcrafts Co. Use those divider holder from LFS. Cost $1.50 a pair. Likely you need 2 pairs. You need to consider these:
- There will be small gap between divider and tank glass. How you gg to cover this? Can use filter sponge but when you do wc, water pressure may push it out. Also CPO may climb over to next section
- How to balance the divider during wc? Pressure from the higher water level side (occurs when you suck water from the other section) may tilt the divider.

U better check the water perimeter requirements for CPO. I believe if you do a search, you can find some info in the forum.[/QUOTE]

What about the soil part?I believe there be some small gaps too??the divider holder u mentioned is clip to the glass or??

Push the bottom into the soil or gravel, etc. Please go read up on the properties of soil (on pH) and quartz, etc. As mentioned, find out the requirements of CPO before you proceed.

Clip

Example of divider (holes were drilled to allow water to balance up)

----------back to the different medium and it's effect on water perimeters--------------
Since the tank is mainly using quartz, with some soil, it means the pH will not be ideally low, for CRS. What I intend to do, to reduce pH, firstly, include some soil, follow by using peats and perhaps KTP leave extract. KTP is effective in reducing pH, but cause water to look brownish.

You mentioned wanting to keep CPO ma. U mean, shrimps and CPO, so you want to partition ah?

Holes, you can drill more, can drill a bit larger, etc. There are various ways to deal with it. You could use netting (holes small enough so shrimplets can't squeeze thru) and find ways to secure it against the hole, or what I did was, use filter sponge to fill the hole.

Than let them co-exist lo. Like some shared before, healthy shrimps won't become dinner to the CPOs, they will dart away when they felt intimidated.

Shd be ok. The holes is to help balance e water level, which can also self balance from the gap on the sides. You can decide whichever you prefer, no hard n fast rule.

Just remb to watch the divider when you do wc, because if you suck too fast/too much from one side, e volume on e other side will push e divider over.
