The rods don't do well in submerge. More for 1st compartment usage. I agree to increase mech filtration.

Kaypo kaypo a bit:

1) get a egg crate cut to size to support the wool. Alternative will be cut an acrylic sheet to size and drill lots of holes evenly to create rain effect.

Another easier option will be using Mr Aqua OHF tray

2) Swap the rods with CR. Will work better.

3) get bigger bag for your bio homme/CR. Or split into two bags. Key is loosely packed so you can get medias to cover the corners.
