Yes its a light tube. But what kind of T5 tube you want to get? Any LFS will carry them.

Most fluorescent lights are T5 now, whether you use them to light up a room or for aquarium use. In the past, T8 is used.

You can choose between incandescant or white T5, incandescent is warm light, gives you similar effect as a tungsten light without the heat!

However, the light fixtures for T5 and T8 are different, circumference wise the latter is bigger. If your light fixture is T8, you cannot use T5 on them.

Both T5 and T8 comes with 4 pins like the PLL. But the orientation of the pins are different when compared to the PLL. T5 and T8 have 2 pins each on the extreme ends of the light tube unlike all 4 pins on the same side for the PLL. PLL are also known as power compact tubes, literally since the light tube is 'bent' around to form a U shape tube. Hope this helps.
