Tablet CO2 is pretty unstable and you need to have the diligence to put it in everytime during lights on. Else you sometimes put sometimes forget, algae will come in due to the unstable CO2 levels. CO2 Cylinders are not really that expensive. I got my entire set at about $130. You can look around at the buy/sell to look for bargains. No fight for pure CO2 bubbles. |

So you need to have stable CO2 levels. It is really important. If you have unstable levels, then don't have CO2 at all. Thus if you want to use tablets, then you got to make sure you use it regularly. That is why I (and alot of people) advocate using a CO2 cylinder with a solenoid regulator. Really helps alot. So in your case I generally will advise you from adding any carbon source like the tablets. |
