think he has lost his credibility long time ago as a viable opposition with all his antics.

Chee's reputation in previous GE has taken a battering due to some of the stunts that he had done, but if you listen to this clip with an open mind and with a neutral point of view, he has actually stated some of the facts that had occurred after each GE when the PAP has come into power.
It is good that he has stated all these and so that at the end of the day when the polling day comes, we can make a better decision for ourselves, whether for or against the PAP, that remains to be seen... |

I don't trust what has been said about Dr Chee! World class newspaper, can trust one meh? Even Lee Hsien Loong questioned it!
Past propaganda really worked in tearing down Dr Chee but I take an open mind n really wish he could take part in this Election. But as I perceived from PAP's actions, I view it as, PAP is rather scared of Dr Chee. He can ne e next JBJ that had questioned PAP in parliament till they are speechless. |

“If we had considered them serious political figures, we would not have kept them politically alive for so long. We could have bankrupt them earlier.”
- Lee Kuan Yew on political opposition, Straits Times, Sept 14 2003 Chee is a serious political figure. Chiam and low are not, at least not in the eyes of the old man. |

I respect his guts for able to stand up against the PAP/ST machinery for so long. Most people will have given up by now... I guess thankfully his family supported him and suffered the same fate as him... he has paid a heavy price to live up to his principle of what freedom and true democracy..
Tuesday, April 19, 2011 Muzzling Chee Soon Juan Mr.Chee will not be able to stand in the Singapore Elections just announced. He has been declared a bankrupt, and may neither stand nor involve himself in the elction campaign. The first he cannot overcome, but the second rule we know he will defy. If there is one trait he has consistently exhibited in all these years, it is defiance of unjust authority. In Singapore, it is a most unusual trait. His struggle, consciously or not, appears to be based on Gandhian principles. He advocates non-violence, goes on hunger strikes, refuses to pay unjust fines, and would rather be incarcerated than compromise his principles. Every one of which acts, Mr.Gandhi too embraced. Mr.Chee has been ridiculed by his political enemies and called 'a dud' by Mr.Lee Kuan Yew. Mr.Gandhi was called a 'fakir in a loincloth' by Mr.Churchill. Not that we are comparing Mr.Churchill to Mr.Lee; Mr.Churchill was no shameless bully. It is a pity that Mr.Chee cannot stand in this election because he would most likely win. Which is why the PAP fears him and why they will not allow him to. They cannot handle him now, and they do not want to have to contend with him in Parliament. It may be time for Mr.Chee to ask Singaporeans to donate towards paying off his fine. He owes S$300,000 to Mr.Lee Kuan Yew and S$200,000 to Mr.Goh Chok Tong. We are certain he will be able to collect enough. Though it is a shame that even more of Singaporean's hard earned money, will find it's way into Mr.Lee's and Mr.Goh's already thick wallets. |

he is extremely intelligent, and extremely sharp in his critique. He is number one by some distance in being able to point out sharply, concisely and eloquently what is wrong with the system.
Take the "rule of law" of PAP, which he pointed out is not rule of law, but rule by law. absolutely brillant. It is for this reason that SDP is able to attract highly intellectual people. |
