Default New sp female pup

Hi bros/sis,

Got my new sp female 4" pup on Sat. Adjusted temp, pH and water conditions with main tank using drip method with air tube before setting her free in tank.

Till now, this pup only munch on about 2 Hikari sinking pellets a meal. Is that enough? Previous owner fed small mp pieces, but it doesn't seem to take mp in new environment.

Currently have 1 ghost shrimp & 2 torsats in tank as well for it to hunt. Tankmates include 1 aro and 1 sb endy.

Heard rays have to eat all the time? Because I see this pup munch only 2 pellets to pieces and seem to have quite a far bit of pellets left over.

Appreciate any advice! Thanks!

give her sometime so that she can get used to the new environment. Try feeding MP since she had already get used to taking the same food. Remember feed her small amount first to monitor her action. Take out all unwanted food after sometime to prevent the water from getting amonia bec of leftover food. First initial stage is to show more TLC. No choice.... happy ray keeping

Funny thing is she doesn't take mp now.... only feeding small bit size MP but she just pass on. However, when I throw in 2 pellets, she began chewing... thanks for encouragement for ray keeping! many kah kees here!

You can try blood worms and add in more torsat. Do not train pups until they are healthy and eating for a long time or you risk losing them.

Give them what they want to eat.
