Will ofo succeed or fail in a year?
I refer to the new islandwide bike rental company. I saw one abandoned in a park for a week already. I think it is hard to succeed here as people do not like to cycle ( they prefer motorised bike), weather is too hot or it rains, people here are not civil minded.
Another question is so our government are encouraging more bicycles on the roads? |

That's the problem! Too many beh zi tong idiots! Take supermarket trolleys for example, why do they need to STEAL and than DUMP elsewhere? Now, this rental bicycle faces the same dumping fate due to these Irresponsible IDIOTS!
The law shd change and penalize such ppl. Some ppl here in SG needs to be trained like how animals are trained! |

In Shanghai, I have seen these bike population and take up rate explode in the past 2 years. You can now see them everywhere and there are many people using them, as the rates for some bikes can be RMB 0.50 (about 10cts sgd) for 30 mins, and the public transport not as efficient. Of course, the money making is not in the bike rental itself, but in the deposits that people pay upfront and the folks behind the scenes using these funds to invest or drive other more profitable businesses |

I think this initiative is private. Gov did want to invest and start it, only to realised there are already companies (or is it 1 company) doing it already.
Kind of expected. Do they have fresh ideas? Are they the first? Too many red tapes and whatnots, by the time they are ready to tender and implement, someone else already at it. |
