Vacation problems!
I am going for a 7day vacation next monday night.
My problem is that my spawn will only be 5 weeks old at that point of time and therefore still quite fragile, so must ask some qns here. Water: 100-120 fries in a 53L tank, but only filled wif 25L of water, whole week nvr perform water changes, can survive? If cant survive, den will having a filter that's been cycled starting from today(so 7 days) help to keep ammonia and nitrite lvls survivable? Shifus pls give recommendations I'm trying to be as self-sufficient as possible and not rely too much on my dad or gf to help when im away. |

at 5 weeks old, i feel that it is a must to feed if not there will definitely be cannibalism. water change wise, should be able to withstand a week.

Better get a auto feeder, my spawn of 2mths guppy fries all perished during a 5days absence.
Suggest u increase the water volume too, due to evaporation n more water means increased substainable chances of survival |

Feeding wise no problem, my dad is very willing to help. Will be feeding live tubi or frozen daphnia everyday.
My main concern is only water parameters haha. On a side note, do u guys recommend frozen daphnia or live tubi during my absence? Frozen daphnia like easier to control leh. Better cleanliness, control feeding amount, easily available in freezer, fry cfm can gulp as compared to tubi. However, if the fries nvr eat finish, will lead to high ammonia v fast as compared to tubi since tubi at least can live in tank for a few hours for fry to chomp chomp. U guys' opinion? |

Auto feeders, even the cheapest China-made ones, are capable of 6-daily feedings. It may look complicated, but the shopkeeper should be able to teach you how to use it. Buy it a few days in advance to test it out.
