Default Juvenile Betta Mandor F1

Hi guys, after seeing bro amkbettafan's thread, I was motivated to share a picture of my mandor too. These are F1 juveniles from two pairs of wild caught parents, currently I have about 30 juveniles, size is about an inch plus to two inches, starting to get a bit too much to handle

Here is a pic of the juvenile male, nice shiny green scales and reddish fins. Sorry for the lousy photo quality.

Nice, not many people have bred mandor. Good job, Lucas.

Here are better pictures of the mandor. As you can see the males have coloured up very nicely.

Nice update bro Lucas. May I know the size of tank and the food you usually use?

Nice achievement there.
they are usually a little more difficult to breed as they are very aggressive.
thumbs up!

Can't agree more bro Johannes on e aggressive nature of mandor. Imagine a tank of 3 males and 1 female in the same tank, makes me wonder how bro Lucas can maintain harmony in there

I suffered one casualty last week, the weaker female suddenly KIA. Despite adding more hiding spaces in my 45 cm tank, and using pygmy corries as target fish, to distract the male.

The parents have been in several different tanks before, 2ft tank, 1.5ft tank and 1ft cube. Currently one pair is in a 1.5ft tank, the other pair is in a 1ft cube.

Thanks Haha the aggression still seems quite manageable...

Oh, that's unfortunate You mean the female got killed by the male or she died from other causes? If its the former, sounds like a really aggressive male.
