Stingray Pups Care - Tips & Tricks !
Ha Ha Ha ... Nope I am not giving out the tips and tricks in taking care of Stingray pups.
But seeing so many captive bred rays lately, lets invite all Ray Grandparents to come and share their tips and tricks in caring for ray pups. Orthodox and UnOrthodox methods are welcome! |

Yes bro that's what many bros do to make it convenient for themselves as well as allow the Ray to have good diet.
Gonna start doing it once again, long time never feed Frozen Ghost Shrimps liao, but new rays don't really like MP, no choice. |

I wld classified pups caring into 2 gp: 1 is new born & other stable pups eating solid food.
The 1st gp new born is the hardest to handle. Last time thai breeders told me 21 days will be sufficient to condition the pups. After being grandparents for many times, I realised tat it is not enough. This is why after they exported their pups, lots of DOA. The 1st 21 days is a period where the pups only started eating fd like worms & not eating well. These worms are not sufficient unless they eat a lot like those stable pups. If were to move these pups to new location, most may stop eating & die. Now I condition them for 2 months or more & make sure tat they are eating solid fd like fish meat or ghost shrimps b4 moving them. Even though, reaching new location may nd another 2 wks to stablise them again 4 change of envir. Usually after this long process, pups wld have hit 5' or more. (This does not apply to those having only 1 or 2 big size pups as when born they are generally stronger). 2nd gp as we know are stable pups, these basically just keep check ur water and do WC regularly. Feed enough or ur rays may not grow. |
