Other variant due to sources location, biological (hybrid cross, albino, leusistic) are not being properly classifed and should fall into these classes. Sellers can quote a new variants due to commercial reasons but we hobbyist should know what we are buying, into a breed or just a variants of a breed. A varaints of just reason of rarity (due to reason of WC or remote sources) could cost multiple times. In actual fact we are merely buying the same breed of lap.
Agreed. I can't agree more on this. Sometimes, the adrenaline of coming across rare species can blind us. However, always know how they look like before committing.

I think what you mean by 'breed' is species (e.g. lapradei) right bro? I think our local bichir scene has 'matured' immensely with the imports of the different variants of a species. Once again, do read up and look at pictures more before committing

yes thats right. thats is about 5.5kg of sand inside my tank.. this is like so damn fine. gives a nice effect overall

I'm using the normal red substrate, can be purchased at AH, c328, seaview...
