Thumbs up Albino blood red metal lace guppy 金属白子血红蕾丝孔雀鱼

Sharing a pair I got from my breeder friend in taipei...
Interesting Facts:
- Albino metal red lace is far more common than his yellow counterpart.
- Both color have broken lace pattern and eye spots (眼斑)as flaws.
- However, a problem more frequent with red lace than yellow lace is its 'broken' or 'discontinued' (断纹路)lace pattern, which makes it a challenge to breed.
- Blood red (血红)metal head is an advancement from red metal head as preferred by the Chinese as auspicious.
1 week ago the fish in bag pic:

Just taken with my iPhone:

Purplish blood red metal head under good water condition:

Reasonably good dorsal and caudal:

Near perfect unbroken fine lace pattern on tail:

And it's only coming 3.5 month old. Hope can groom him to succeed my previous albino metal yellow lace just like how Mourinho will succeed Fergie.
Happy Gupping!...

It is said that lace pattern on body depends on female coz it is X link gene....it is hard coz we cannot see. Need to test so need a lot of space to know which female carry good lace pattern.

Yup... That's also part of the challenge; to choose a good female.

Ey, I dunno wad fish they use bcos this fish already established in Taiwan & China. I don't think it's magenta bcos under stress, the metal head portion will just turn normal pale body with no hint of red.

This is not true. The patten is passed on through the male.

Based on my past experiences:
1. metal grass (M) (it had lace pattern instead of grass pattern) x red lace (F)
F1 -> metal red lace, metal blue grass (lace pattern) and metal AOC lace

2. metal red lace (male from 1.) x blue grass (F)
F1 -> metal red lace, metal blue grass (lace pattern), metal AOC lace and blue grass (body exhibit grass pattern but tail exhibit lace pattern)

3. metal red lace (from 1.)
F2 -> metal red lace, metal blue grass (lace pattern), metal AOC lace and full metal purple and green grass (fine dots)

4. full metal grass (from 3.)
F1 -> full metal grass

The picture below shows metal red lace and full metal purple and green grass.
