ricca need hw much light?
bro, i have just got myself 3 ricca on mesh a week back and in my shrimp tank..
is it able to survive with just 5 watt of light? in my 1.3feet tank? cos i see some brown parts.. duno is buy already inside like that or is my lighting not strong enuff.. |

Riccia can do well in moderate to high lights.
Low lights is OK if you let them float. Why low lights isn't that good if you tie them to rocks or wood is because with the already weak lights, it is even hard to penetrate to reach the lower areas of the riccia which causes it to rot faster. |

All plants need CO2. However, you might get away without injecting more CO2.
1.5wpg is safe while 2wpg is abit bordering on the red line. If you do not wish to inject CO2, no problem, just try to have good aeration so that the CO2 in the water (there is some CO2 dissolved in normal water, even still water) can be replenished. |

wat if the lighting is too strong and suff CO2, coz i buy a few time, it either melted or die.... until now still cant figure out...

Riccia needs a lot of penetrating light if you plant it at the bottom.
It also needs a lot of nourishment. |
