As with any other ohf, flooding only if suey suey piping dislodged.

Mulch will go back into tank if :
1. ohf box shaken
2. like under tank sump system, when switch on pump after switching off. Best don't switch off, if switch off, clean the media first before restarting.


Side note about under tank sump, the dirt goes back into tank if pump is switched on before water level rises in sump tank because return compartment water and sediment is sucked up by pump.

This never happens. Only the initial bits and pieces when the rubbish in the piping gets dislodged and goes into the main.

Main tank should never be cloudy. if cloudy confirm something wrong liao.

Last time put in tank and let them live in substrate.
Now bought six pieces and put in ohf filter box.

328 sells on occasion.

Freshwater mussels.

This morning I threw them into the tank river sand substrate, the water in ohf box felt too warm for my liking : worry get mussel soup.

have been wanting to get shellfish for the same purpose, but always stopped short from buying because it's damn ma fan to keep checking if they're still alive or dead.

They are easy to keep.
My initial two lasted a year plus in river sand substrate, then I IBS threw them into crab tank.
Think they got eaten cos found empty shells a week later.
