How to process the plant bought from LFS

bro, I will stripped off everything which the LFS come with, e.g.: dw, pot, rubber band, metal strap, rinse it under running water before soaking in clean water for 1-2 days and putting in my actual tank.

This is important, i had experience Snail Invasion which cannot be resolved no matter how hard you try or even putting in puffer fish to eliminate the snail

Of course, trimming the root to moderate length and taking away the rotten leaf is a must

Some of the brothers even run their new plant through diluted bleach solution to eliminate any parasite

Bro eric, try assassin snails to counter them. Works well. For ferns i will untie and trim roots, clean and then when planting, i bury the roots under the soil, as some will expose a little, i leave them alone and now my ferns growing out from one of the leaf.
