wah...u must have totally stopped running since 10 yrs ago

I dun see myself running FM even if my knees allow. Just dun have the patience to run > 5 hrs

Ultras are out of the question totally!

1) no.

2) The ankle is a mobility joint, the knees are for stability. If your ankles are stiff, your knees will have to do the job of your ankle...

Tight quads will also pull against the insertion which is your kneecaps giving a false sense of joint pain.

I already half dead doing 2.4km during NS. Now, 1km also half dead.
