Default help with eheim 2217

i realised my eheim 2217 flowrate had decreased quite significantly. so decided to had rinse out my filter and replace with a few new pieces. ( some older ones are in there as well)

flowrate became even slower!!!

last time the water pressure through the rainbar is very strong. will cause kinda strong current in my 2ft.. but now, the water is like "dripping out" slowly.

whats wrong ?! is it because my eheim 2217 is old already ? will age contribute to the slow flowrate ? kinda worried.

Check the impeller and see if it is broken.

found out the reason liao. it lies with the impeller indeed. because the plastic propeller thingy and the magnet came loose( the magnet suppose to sit onto the propeller with the grooves).

this is the reason y i change the previous time. now this new impeller thingy only few months old and it broke again.

i manage to get it fixed though. anyone knows y is that so ? is it common ? or something else is causing the problem.

something may have gotten into it ? at high speed of rotation, even something soft beside injested would result in a broken or chipped impeller blade.
and usually the material for the impeller is plastic, which is not as strong as compared to steel.
but of cos its more costly.
