Plants wise seems ok, they look healthy.
why should it be that 10000k is hotter than 6500k?
heat produced by a light tube depends on its efficiency.

a incandescent bulb at 65W produces a fair amount of heat to give out 1500lumens of light.
when compared to a more efficient flourescent tube which may take only 24W to produce the same amount of light at 1500lumens, it is then less efficient... more heat is produced.

so in the case of a 6500K & 10000k tube, the more efficient one producing more lumens at same W will be the one giving off less heat in heat/light output ratio.

the comparision should be in terms of intensity. two 36W tubes, one 6500k and one 10000k, which one more intense? the one producing more lumens... typically the 6500k tube.

makes sense?

yes it does, thanks for correcting me, i had that analogy because i tried using 6.5k PL light as compared to 10k T5 light and it seems T5 is significantly hotter.

But i do understand your explanation =] thanks
