Default Tanganyika Pseudosimochromis Curvifrons

Hi guys,

managed to get 6 of these beauties last week and they are currently residing in my 6ft tank. Couldn't get good enough pictures of them and they look much better in reality!

Very nice!

I have been looking for them but could never get my hands on them. Where do you get them from? I read that they are very aggressive. How are they coping with one another?

Ken,
I saw lots of chasing when they were kept in the holding tank. btw, they were imported fm AirFish via AquaExotic Singapore.

Yah. I got them through aquaexotic. Was waiting for like close to a year for them to be available on airfish list. I also read that they are very aggressive. So far there are chases around but nothing viscious. I guess will have to observe them for awhile more. Fingers crossed.

Yah I read they are quite rare in the hobby. I think they should behave somewhat like tropheus. Never rear tropheus before so can't really comment on the degree of similarity. Can see them scraping algae off the rocks and background in my tank.

What attracted me was the shape of their face which I feel differs from tropheus.

I see.. how many of them were there? Did you take the whole group?

How big are they now?

Yes, they do have tropheus-like heads, but definitely different. Keep us updated on their progress.

Kenneth, I got 6 of them in total. They range from 3" to 4" in size. Will keep you guys updated on them. I haven't been a person who cares alot on water chemistry and quality. But recently decided to be a little more hardworking. Haha. Hopefully they will thrive.
