Understock and overfilter. Personally I think your bio load is high already. You could try adding certain plants in the sump to try to soak up some of the nitrates.

very frankly speakin... u can only tell after you add the next fish.

I mean, even with the SAME number of fish and tank size but with diff filtration system, the results might be diff wad.

And if water parameters tip, take action lor.. easiest is to increase WC, no?

But for comparison.. I have 1 aro 3 rays in a 6x 2.5x2 and nitrates already is an issue.. had to add a denitrator to keep it in check.
just my opinion lar but after years of keeping fishes, I just got really tired of checking all these readings. all good dont mean fishes are doing well.

so for me I just put in a ph meter to monitor the PH and do more WC with AC of course.

I still have those test kits sitting in one corner collecting dust

my solution will be to do water change 2x a week. per wc is 50% and use a tested and trusted Antichlorine.

If water is entered from tap directly into tank/fgt. Will suggest for the flow rate of the water input to be slow and not gushing.

Bro imho if this is what your intention is ..just do it. But like the bros here said monitor your water perimeters and also have a contingency plan...I am also like u ..when things not "moving" will change things abit.

I know the feeling.. testing becomes a hassle over the years and every time u test n everything seems perfect u wonder y u even bother... I get that feeling too lol.

I also agree good water parameters don't mean perfectly healthy fish since parasites / bacteria / toxins etcetc are not indicated.

But for ur case.. 1 time check now will determine if your bioload is too high or not. Coz if ammonia / nitrites are detectable it simply means no go for adding unless u upgrade ur filtration/media.

Bro, I am interested in FGT setup and saw your old thread.
You mention your FGT size has 6x4x3 (with 5ft sump setup).
Can send some pictures of your setup and the person u make from thanks bro.
