eheim 1264 vs compact 5000
Guys need advice here.
Both pumps are from eheim. 1264- old model 4500lph 100w 5000 - new model 2500 to 5000lph 86w As it can be seen that lots of people still prefer 1264. 1264 bulky 5000 smaller Please advice. |

The outlet of the 2 pumps are different. 1 is a nozzle the other comes with screwthread.

eheim 1264 wont go wrong.
Just a bit pity, will be perfect if eheim comes out with a 6000L/Hr or version |

Hmax I think refers to the maximum effective pumping height of the the pump. Do correct me if I'm wrong. That's my understanding. Most pump packagings do come with a flowrate chart that gives flowrate vs pumping height. Just need to take a measurement of your pumping height and compare to whichever pump best suits your tank.
