Suitable setup for koi in flat
Hi all
Any idea whats the suitable setup for koi in flat? Is it possible? I know koi do grew very big and best in big area Any advise Thor |

Keep number of fish down and use the biggest tank you can afford. FGT best.

You can grow them as bonsai koi, forever small.

Actually, I'd say only FGT for koi as the typical fish tank is long and narrow. You might want to take care of floor load limitations as a large FGT can weigh a lot.
Best filtration you can get with limited footprint is a gravity fed sieve pumped to above tank shower. Will cost you a bit, but the savings on heavy maintenance will be felt. In a nutshell FGT -> Retro bottom drain -> Sieve (mechanical to 200 micron) -> Pump -> Waterco MC-12 Vortex (mechanical to 50 micron) -> Shower (biological) -> FGY It's what I'd do for a quarantine tank if I were to build one. Actual fiber tank should be as large as possible, at least 3ft deep as the koi need depth - also for safety if there are kids in the house. |

Those fgt that is long...how does the tankmaker deliver to the unit? Eg 9ft by 50 cm by 60cm
