Nice bro. Looks like you have pump them well.

Yes, amongst all the wild scalares that I have, the Suriname is the most colorful strain. Your fishes are still young. The color will keep intensifying till adulthood. Just continue to keep them in planted tank.

Have fun!

Hi bro, thanks for letting me to have these nice fishes. The fins are also slowly growing back. I had follow your advice by using automatic feeder timer. Feeding 6 times a day but small portion each time. Pumping them up.

How is manacapuru project? I am short of this strain... and hardly can find this strain around. Do you have any to let..... For adding into my collections.

My Alpha male grows 4 inch body length (without tail) and reaches a vertical length (tip to tip) of about 10-11 inch.

The fins will keep growing. Especially for the male fish, they can grow to pretty good length and broad body size if given good environment. In my personal opinion, this is perhaps the most under-rated of all the wild strains that are available in the market. Most brilliant color, good fin length to body ratio and super easy to keep. Price wise, they are comparatively cheaper to the SI.

The manacapuru breeding is not going to happen soon as I got no time to start the pairing process and to induce them to breed. Hope to do so at the end of the year to coincide with the raining season.

Thanks for your comments.

Must thanks to Angelfish Master Breeder CHECKERBOX, without him and his passion breeding wild angelfishes........ We, hobbyists will not be that easy to keep these wild angelfish strains. His F1 Suriname, F1 Essequibo and F1 Santa Isabel are super hardy...... very easy to keep. I missed out his F1 Manacapuru.

Hopefully, I can have this strain in the future.
