Depends.

A good tip that one Gar expert gave is that, if you keep a group of Gar, get at least one of them on the food you want it to eat. The rest will follow that Gar in time.

Update condition of Florida , cuban, tropicals gar comm.

Torn fin, tail.
Florida , Cuban => no
Tropicus => YES , bad torn tail but recovering

Conclusion => tropicus gar decent , Cuban v fierces


Any diff or same pls input.

Maybe it's a size thing, but my big Trop is supper aggro. I'm pretty sure the reason the Cuban is always at the back of the tank is because the Trops pick on it, it always ends up with split fins. The other Trop is just about the same size as the Cuban, but much more outgoing.

Just sharing my fat Florida here. Diet consists of mp, bf, feeders and carnivore pellets.....
