Eh last kaypoh question:

Is it also true that u can determine or change the ratio of the sex of hatchlings by changing incubating temperature ?
Thanks for the insight!!
Yes indeed, sexes of hatchlings are control by temperature during incubation.

This is not true at all, base on my personal experience albino grow rate are the same as normal res.
But albinos and snows tend to have poorer eye sight. Therefore, the trick to keeping albinos are not to keep them in too big enclosure, add more pellets so they are easyer to be reach.

Also sufficient food and calcium supplement.

And once they are used to it, they will start laying multiple clutches of eggs every year.
Is a 5x2.5x2.5 ft tank big enough to keep a pair?
What type of filtration is better?
What lighting is suitable?
Will there be unpleasant smell due to bio load?
Lastly when is your next batch coming?
Sorry for asking so many question... Thanks

For the tank that u are using is defiantly big enough to house a pair of res.
Any filter is suitable, turtles are not so particulars to water perimeter , unlike fishes. A basking area with uvb lightings need to be provided for them.
But pls remenber to do regular water change , as res tends to eat a lot.

I will see what will hatch out the next few weeks, if u are interested , pls pm me to discuss.

Cheers!!!

Normally for breeding , the sex ratio are 1 male to 2-3female.
All my res are keep in groups, they seldom fights, but make sure
Your tank/pond area is big enough to house them.
Just don't over crowd them, make sure they are comfortable ,
And they will start producing.

Yes their eggs are buried under the soil, u need to have them transfer and wash, place into a plastics container with vermiculite and put in an
incubator. Baby will hatch in 50-60days depending on the temperature
