Began cycling the tank last Monday and its been a week. Hope to hear some suggestions on how I can improve my tank. I would like to know how I can bring up the PH and bring the Ammonia level down thou.

When the plants are more established, they will starts to absorb the NO3 as their nutrients.. Whats your current ph? From what i understands not many plants will strive in a more alkaline environment. Like all fish keeping.. Patient is the key to establish a good tank.

Nice tank anyway. Keep it up. And happy planting

Since you are already on soil, shouldn't that bring pH down? Does the stones/rocks cause it to stay at 6.4? Or is that the average for the soil you using?

Nice looking tank. How are you going to deal with algae since there are little room for you to clean e surface (side/back)? Will you be using Otto?
