Car Sharing Scheme
With the many transport options these days, it's pretty much in line with gov plan of a carlite society.
Of the many transport options, - Bicycle (and now e-scooter) sharing being cheapest - Bus/MRT being most budget friendly - GrabHitch being good alternative at about half the price of PHV/Taxi - Taxi, PHV for more comfort (PHV not necessary cheaper) - Car sharing scheme (there's even P2P scheme) CAR-SHARING COST Car-sharing offers users the flexibility to use a vehicle on an hourly or daily basis based on their travelling needs. Users can also choose different types of vehicles to fit their needs, and they only pay for the time and distance travelled. CAR-SHARING SERVICES There are currently about 300 car-sharing vehicles services located in over 100 locations in Singapore. LTA is working closely with HDB and other car-sharing operators to provide more locations across the island to make it more convenient for users to access a car-sharing service in the near future. Check out the various locations by clicking on the map above. Further details on car-sharing in Singapore can also be found at: Car-Sharing Association of Singapore website. ----------------------- Anyone using car sharing scheme? How's e rates and package like? Beneficial to you? |

P2P scheme as in, Peer 2 Peer.
In such scheme, car owners sign up to share their cars when it's not in use. Users rent it at hourly rate. Insurance should be covered maybe through the company that runs this scheme. |
