Battery powered filter
Hello all, i know this may sound absurd, i need a battery powered filter due to the placement of my tank where there's no power socket near it & extension cords will be unsightly and tripping hazard. Small capacity will do, Anyone came across such filter? Does any LFS sell them? Thanks in advance

We would need more information on the tank setup and the fishes you plan to keep.
I have not heard of battery powered filter but there are many ways of filtration through air. |

Thank you for the reply. Are battery powered air pumps available? Would like a simple setup with max 6 tetras in a 1ft moss tank.

For 1 feet tank you can consider under gravel filtration. Sponge filter may be a little "bulky". Or maybe corner filter.
There are many batteries operation air pump so you have have to keep changing batteries. Using rechargeable batteries would solve your issue. |

Auctually for these small fishes you don't really need a filter, just make sure no food left uneaten, and just siphon the waste and top up water regularly should be fine

Battery operated air pump can last only a few hours, it usually for emergency use, you still need lighting if you having a moss tank, unless using sunlight, then moss will create oxygen for your fish, in this case no filter, no power required. Just my thought.
