Personally, my female rays have always grown faster than the males. Could be that they are more aggressive during feeding time.

My tank is outdoors so temp wise is high. No issue with the rays so far. There's some shaded areas so they can hide.

So far good bacteria seems to be affected by pH. Yet to encounter literature about temperature affecting it.

Thanks bro..

Too much aerations is harmful to rays? My tank temp is 31 deg C.. Without heater or tank light. Wonder where does the heat comes from? I use 2 thermometer and both same readings.
